Identity Search by Amy De Kanter
September 17, 2010
it is may & june issue of octane magazine that we just received today:
Ignatius Hermawan Tanzil’s Design Company, LeBoYe, which started Out in ‘a leaky little house,’ has now had its work featured in Exhibitions around the world. Hermawan attributes the success of LeBoYe as much to their close relationships with their clients as to their award-winning work. However, more than a successful commercial designer, Hermawan is a man with a greater mission, to make his countrymen appreciate the importance of graphic design and understand the essential role culture can and must play in it. Hermawan spoke to Octane Magazine on graphic design in Indonesia and the journey to discovering an Indonesian identity.
