Indonesian Graphic Design Awards (IGDA) created as an appreciation for graphic design practitioners and as a benchmark for the world of Graphic Design in Indonesia. The first IGDA held at Gallery Salihara on 23 May 2010 was very successful, approximately 500 hundred people show up to see the event for the award winning night !
There are various categories for the awards related to graphic design, and LeBoYe proud that we has the most nominated projects, 7 times ! We are overjoyed to tell you that we have won 2 trophies for the Typography and Promotional & Advertising category. LeBoYe’s winning work for Typography category is the A to Z of the Archipelago font. It is our self-initiated project that we will launched this coming month. This prestigious award is dedicated to our creative teams and everybody who involved on this project in the past 10 years, Noor Wulan, Joko Hartioko, Agra Satria, Radhinal Indra (internship), Pandu Nugraha (internship), Gilang Badudu (internship) and Ignatius Hermawan Tanzil himself.
Number 2 Trophie goes to” Think Big with Design” a promotional poster that for The Biggest Asia Pacific Design Conference at FGD Expo 2008 ” with some of the keynote speaker Including Stefan Sagmeister, Karim Rashid, Ahn Sang-Soo, Chris Bangle and many more. There was another LeBoYe’s Poster that was nominated for this catagory, two out of three and both of them are individual effort of our Creative Director.
It was a big giant step for Graphic Design Indonesia ! We believe that night was not only belong to the winner but also Graphic Design Indonesia. After so many years we are waiting, finally we graphic designer have a competition in our home country. Congatulations DGI and their teams ! Now, it is time to enjoy beautiful trophies designed by Singgih Susilo Kartono…
